A LUCIE CAST bag does not have a fashion shelf life, our pieces are not seasonal or even particularly occasional. Handcrafted in the South West of England, we aim to increase the longevity of leather goods through quality and time honoured simplicity.
LUCIE CAST goods are made from vegetable tanned leather, an old age technique that uses the natural tannin’s found in tree bark, meaning the waste product can be recycled back into the ground. This slow and steady process creates beautiful leather, free from harsh chemicals, that will develop an original patina telling the story of you and your bag.
The bags in our collection feature bespoke brass fixings produced in the UK. We worked closely with Michael, from our local foundry, to create the solid brass brass button on the front of our bags. The design is based on the shape of a thumb print making it both functional and incredibly tactile to use.
Combining the simple with the showy, this year we have reimagined our original offering of timeless leather goods with a selection of silk ribbon straps. – The perfect way to decorate your bag without having to add permanent embellishment.
Each strap is made by Robert in the neighbouring town. They are woven in pure silk, stitched onto a British wool backing and feature brass clips made in the UK.
Fully detachable and adjustable the ornate motifs and exaggerated size of the ribbons will add a modern and offbeat accent to the bag of your choice.
